One room or the whole house

One room: a high wall unit in the lounge is the most common job. Under a window or low wall: a floor console puts heat down low, where you feel it. Several rooms: a multi-split runs two or more indoor units off one outdoor unit, good for bedrooms plus the lounge without a row of outdoor units on the house. Dean doesn't install ducted systems. Hillside sections

Plenty of Stokes Valley houses sit on slopes, with decks, retaining walls and steps round the outside. Dean works out where the outdoor unit can sit level and solid, how the pipes run to the indoor unit, and how the water drains away. Mitsubishi Electric and GREE are the main brands. You get 12 months workmanship from Get Pumped, plus 5 years on Mitsubishi Electric or 6 years on GREE from the maker.​

Keep it running

A service keeps the filters and coils clean so the unit isn't working harder than it has to. Dean services and repairs most common brands, not just the ones he installs.​
